Networking
with NAWBO®
Networking
with fellow NAWBO
businesswomen in a wide variety of fields is a
wonderful way to build your resource and client list.
But remember: One meeting does not a network make!
Invest time and effort in your Chapter, serve on committees, attend
events, be a resource. Do this, and the rewards will come --
not only in business growth, but in friendships and the
great pleasure you can take in giving of yourself. If
you're looking for ways to get even more from your NAWBO
GM
experience, please check
our Get Involved! page.
Networking
opportunities abound at NAWBO
Greater Milwaukee. Be sure to
take full advantage of all that your membership offers!
Meetings
At
each meeting, you'll have the opportunity to introduce
yourself and your business to the entire group as part of
our regular member introductions. And, of course,
you'll be seated with a table of other businesswomen as you
enjoy your meal and the featured speaker. A networking
period, prior to the program, is built into each meeting as
well! Maximize your networking opportunities by
arriving promptly to take advantage of the networking
period, sit with new faces, and enjoy the company!
Nothin'
But Networking
NAWBO GM women want networking, and that's exactly what our
popular Nothin' But Networking events deliver! These
events typically include hors d'oeuvres or a buffet, and
great networking opportunities are always on the menu!
You'll have the pleasure of mixing and mingling in a relaxed
setting with other attendees, exchanging information, learning
what others have to offer, and promoting your own
business. You'll want to bring plenty of business cards,
and a friend or colleague, to
these fun evening events! Check
our calendar
to find out when our next Nothin' But Networking event is
scheduled.
Networking
Table
At
each regular meeting, a Networking Table is available to
members and partners. Please bring your business
cards, newsletters, brochures, or anything else you'd like
to share with your fellow members.
Annual
Fund Raising Auction
Volunteer
to serve on the 2007-2008 Auction
Committee and help plan this year's event which raises money
for the Chapter - helping us to offer scholarships to
our members - and for our selected beneficiary. This
year, our annual auction will benefit Bottomless
Closet. The Bottomless Closet Milwaukee is a private,
non-profit organization dedicated to improving the status of
women by providing work appropriate clothing and other
supportive services so that they can be come economically
self-sufficient, and develop greater self-reliance.
Auction
involvement provides many opportunities
to network among the membership and in the community.
Remember: We always need your donations to make the auction a
success -- please remember to set aside those great items
throughout the year! Contact our Event Chairs Cassandra
Wind or Sue Denzine to get involved!
Committees
Nothing
results in better networking than serving on a committee and
working with fellow members and others towards a common
goal. Be sure to check the Get Involved!
page for opportunities to serve, or speak with any Board
member.
